A motorcycle drum brake system is a conventional mechanical braking device that comprises motorcycle brake shoes, a brake drum, and a braking mechanism. When the rider squeezes the brake lever, the brake mechanism applies pressure on the drum motorcycle brake shoes and the brake drum to rub against each other, producing friction heat, and reducing the rotation of the wheel to achieve the braking effect.
The motorcycle brake shoes are the key part of the braking force, and Elig uses environmentally friendly non-asbestos organic friction material (NAO) with high-strength aluminum die-cast shoes.
Compared to the disc brake system, the drum brake system is usually simpler and cheaper, which is suitable for some small motorcycles and scooters. Its braking performance on high speed and large motorcycles may be relatively weak.
